I have been working a lot with grey Båndgneis and have been looking for alternatives. I found these two also close to where I live and shaped them as they wanted to be. The black is a heavy serious Basalt that i kept some natural edges on and made a smother contrast and oiled it all in clear wood oil. The light one is mainly a quartz, little ghost.
